CSU Horsemanship Camps
5-day overnight camp. Participants are encouraged to bring
their own horse. The camp is designed to be both an
educational and fun experience for youths 10 to 15 years of
age. Both English and Western disciplines are available during

Maine Horse Summer Camps

For over 20 years Camp Nashoba North has been offering top
notch riding instruction, facilities and horses for young
riders. Our two spacious stables can accommodate up to 28
horses and ponies that all live in box stalls. Nashoba North
takes pride in our prized horses and ponies who return to camp
each summer. They are known for their dependability,
suitability and calm manners. The riding program focuses on
hunt seat equitation and the balance seat style of English
riding. Riders may chose to ride either one or two hours a day
and have a third hour at the stable for a hands-on
horsemanship lecture. We also offer a one week all inclusive
intensive riding program for young female riders between the
ages of 10-13. Our talented equestrian staff can teach
beginners learning to steer through advanced riders that
compete at the jumping level. All lessons are scheduled

Now is the time to plan for a great summer adventure at the
Black Range Horsemanship Camp, located in the beautiful
Cuchillo Mountains of New Mexico. Two camp sessions are
offered for boys and girls ages 8 to 16. All skill levels of
horsemanship instruction is available from the beginning rider
to the advanced. Campers may also bring their own horses if
desired. We have a seasoned staff led by Greg Evans, a
nationally certified camp director. Greg has over 45 years of
horsemanship and camp experience and has been operating the
Black Range Horsemanship Camp since 1991. Camp Program - Camp
begins with Sunday supper in the beautiful lodge at the camp
facility located on the scenic Chihenne Ranch in the majestic
Cuchillo Mountains near Winston and Chloride New Mexico. The
Chihenne ranch has over 8000 acres to ride and explore. The
ranch has numerous Indian sites, with some dating back to
before 1200 A.D., complete with petroglyphs. Besides lots of
horseback riding and instruction there are numerous other
exciting activities for all ages.
